I felt really good about my sparkler wand light photography - until last night.
Last night, when I came across Wittner Fabrice and his series of photographs using painted light shaped with clarity from his own cut out stencils.
Genius.
His first series was Enlightened Souls. His way of showing support for the Canterbury, New Zealand community after their earthquake last February. He wanted to showcase their courage and strength as they rebuilt.
Genius AND Magnanimous.
OK, I still feel good about my first sparkler shots. But, next time, there will be a serious moment of reflection to ponder, "What would Wittner do?"
